LAHORE:Four police constables were arrested after allegedly colluding with transgender suspects in a honey-trap robbery targeting a man from Kasur in the Kot Lakhpat area.

According to police sources, two transgender persons allegedly lured the victim to a flat in Kot Lakhpat, where he was allegedly assaulted by them and their accomplices. The suspects reportedly snatched Rs40,000 in cash from the man and confined him inside a washroom. Police said that after some time, four police officials reached there and the victim was allegedly handed over to them by the suspects. The complainant alleged that the policemen forcibly took a copy of his identity card along with Rs11,000 in cash before letting him go. Taking notice of the incident, DIG Operations Lahore ordered Kot Lakhpat police to initiate immediate action into the matter.

Subsequently, police registered a case against the transgender suspects and four police constables identified as Waqas, Suleman, Umair and Irfan. All four constables were arrested, police said.
