LAHORE:Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Central Punjab Information Secretary Shahzad Saeed Cheema has said the five-point criteria for appointment in the Information Bureau have been sent to the leadership.
The President of Punjab and the General Secretary should allow the division and district to appoint information secretaries of their choice. After completing the organisation, they will present the bouquet of the Information Bureau to the Chairman.
He expressed these views while addressing a virtual meeting of the Information Secretary of Central Punjab, in which Neelam Jabbar, Ali Saul Malik, Ahmed Rehman Ghuman, Usman Satti, Abdul Razaq Saleemi, Tanveer Bukhari, Umaima Iftikhar, Sohaib Mushtaq Awan, Rai Rashid Advocate, Hassan Gondal, Basharat Ali and Mudassar Shakir participated, while the meeting was conducted by Naseem Sabir Chaudhry. The meeting was chaired by the Information Secretary of Central Punjab, Shahzad Saeed Cheema. Addressing the meeting, the organisation’s Deputy Information Secretary and MPA, Neelam Jabbar, said that the Khushab workshop is a great success of the People’s Information Bureau, for which the Provincial Information Secretary, Ali Saul Malik and his team deserve congratulations.
Malik Ali Saul said that after the social media workshop in Khushab, the PPP is holding discussions in Sargodha Division, each division and district should be allowed to create at least two Information Secretaries at will and the Information Secretary should engage all the big accounts of Sargodha Division.
Abdikarzaq Saleemi said that the series of training workshops should continue. Umaima Iftikhar said that training should be arranged from social media experts in the upcoming training workshops.
Ahmed Rehman Ghuman said to make future events successful, events should be held in the districts of the relevant division. He said out of 120 officials associated with information in 30 zones of Lahore, 50 have been met. Usman Satti said that the Khushab workshop has helped in establishing contacts and understanding each other's ideas. Rawalpindi Division is preparing for a training workshop in mid-June. Usman Satti suggested that further improvement could be achieved through the meeting of the Information Bureau with Chairman Bilawal Bhutto.
