In the rural areas of Dadu, particularly Wahi Pandhi, electricity fluctuations and loadshedding are increasing day by day. The poor people of these rural areas face many problems on a daily basis and cannot afford solar panels or batteries. Even those who have solar systems are suffering these days due to cloudy weather combined with extreme heat. Electricity is a basic necessity and almost all daily activities depend on it. Water, which is a basic need for everyone, also depends on electricity. In such conditions, it becomes very difficult to access water.
Moreover, due to the lack of electricity, there is no proper network coverage. Local residents cannot access social media or even make phone calls. Many people have to travel several kilometres just to get network signals to communicate with their family members.
