PESHAWAR: The Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya on Saturday demanded the reconstruction of the shrines of the revered figures at Jannatul Baqee in Madina Munnawarra.

The demand was made by the speakers while addressing a rally at Chowk Shaheedan in historic Qissa Khawani Bazaar, said a press release.

Participants carried banners and placards inscribed with slogans, demanding the reconstruction of the shrines of revered Islamic personalities.

The speakers said that the holy sites in Jannatul Baqee held immense religious and historical significance for the entire Muslim Ummah.

They requested the Muslim countries to take notice of the issue and ask Saudi Arabian authorities to rebuild the shrines.

They called for unity among Muslim nations to counter conspiracies and safeguard their religious heritage.

The rally concluded with participants reiterating the demand for the restoration of the shrines and protection of Islamic historical sites.
