LAHORE: The second day of the JDW Pakistan Derby Weekend Festival 2026 promises to be the highlight of the racing calendar, with eight cup events scheduled at the Lahore Race Club. The centerpiece of the day is the prestigious JDW Pakistan Derby 2026, a 2400m feature race that will crown the champion of the season.
Day two of the JDW Pakistan Derby Weekend Festival 2026 is set to deliver thrilling contests, with the Pakistan Derby as the crown jewel. With high stakes, rich prize money, and a competitive field, the Derby promises to be a defining race of the season, showcasing the very best of Pakistan’s thoroughbred talent.
The opening Friendship Cup (1000m) race sets the tone with Ammara’s Dream tipped as favourite, Haseeb Thrill as the place, and Lucky Macs as the fluke. The field includes Meer Prince, Eden Queen, Ajwa Queen, Power Up, Princess Arooj, and Malik Choice.
A competitive field of eleven lines up for Spring Cup (1000m), with Royal Stone the favourite, Rashid Prince the place, and Classic Mystery the fluke. Other contenders include Yes Commander, Zaman Sahib, Construct Craft, Anni Power, Jungle Di Star, Zindagi, Tiger of Sultan, and Princess Anaya.
Fuyyum is the favourite, Zerbi the place, and Fakhar-e-Panjgran the fluke. The third LRC Cup (1000m) race also features Tez Tareen, Haseeb Warrior, Absolutely Not, Tajali, Tomorrow Land, and Babbar Sher.
This Tariq Aziz Memorial Cup (1400m) race has Qismat as the favourite, Crown Pharoah the place, and Feel My Love the fluke. The field includes Macs King, Professor, Moni Queen, Dubawi’s Angel, Khokhar One, and Princess Noor.
The premier JDW Pakistan Derby 2026 (2400m, Feature Race) event of the festival features a star-studded lineup. Jupiter is the favourite, One Man Band the place, and Prince Essa the fluke. Other runners include Golden Star, Haseeb Thunder, Hi Volt, Hall Road, New York City, Perfect Again, Sultan, Sardar Bey, and Nisha. The winner Prize Money is – PKR 6.3 million; 2nd – PKR 2 million; 3rd – PKR 1 million; 4th – PKR 400,000; Breeder – PKR 100,000; Sahis – PKR 100,000.
