LAHORE: Rawalpindi Pindiz captain Mohammad Rizwan has admitted shortcomings in their bowling attack which failed to defend a formidable total.

After Rawalpindi Pindiz’s five-wicket defeat to Peshawar Zalmi, Rizwan was candid on his team’s performance. He acknowledged the strength of his batting unit, which once again delivered a formidable total, but admitted that shortcomings in execution with the ball

cost them the match. “Our batters have been in form. But we need to fix our execution and some other things with our bowling,” Rizwan said in his post-match comments. His statement underlined the frustration of seeing Yasir Khan’s explosive 83 and the middle-order contributions go in vain, as Zalmi’s chase was powered by Michael Bracewell, Abdul Samad, and Aamer Jamal in the final overs.
