LAHORE: Former champions Islamabad United have confirmed the signing of Australian all-rounder Chris Green as a replacement for Max Bryant, who has been ruled out of HBL Pakistan Super League season 11 due to an injury.

Bryant sustained an injury during preparations and, following medical assessments, was withdrawn from the squad in accordance with tournament regulations. The franchise moved quickly to secure Green, who joins the team at a contract value of PKR 1.4 crore and will be available for upcoming fixtures.

Green, known for his all-round capabilities and control with the ball, brings extensive franchise cricket experience to United’s campaign. Head coach Luke Ronchi welcomed the signing, noting the importance of spin in the current season: “Due to the change in venues, we expect spin to play a bigger role in the latter part of the tournament. With only two venues, the pitches are likely to assist spinners. Green is a proven performer in franchise cricket around the world, and he is a wonderful team man. We are excited to welcome him.”

Islamabad United extended their best wishes to Max Bryant, wishing him a speedy recovery, while expressing confidence that Green’s inclusion will strengthen their squad balance as they aim to reclaim dominance in PSL 11.
