PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Thursday directed authorities at Central Prison, Peshawar, to conduct a medical examination of an Afghan detainee seeking bail on medical grounds and submit a report within seven days.
The case was heard by Chief Justice S M Attique Shah on a petition filed by Rahimullah, a resident of Meera Kachori.The petitioner’s counsel, Ejaz Ali Shah advocate, informed the court that his client was suffering from hepatitis and was taken into custody under Section 14 of the Foreigners Act. He prayed the court to grant bail on medical grounds.
