Islamabad: A leopard has again been spotted on the main campus of the International Islamic University Islamabad in the Sector H-10, raising safety concerns among students and the administration.

This is the second such sighting in two months. Following the earlier incident, the Islamabad Wildlife Management Board installed traps and cages across the campus, but the animal couldn't be captured.

The repeated leopard sightings have heightened fear among hostel residents, prompting the university to advise students and staff to avoid isolated areas, especially during evening and night hours.

Officials said the administration had also informed the Capital Development Authority about the latest sighting for necessary action. The Islamabad Wildlife Management Board said camera traps had been installed on the campus.

According to it, the traps will help monitor the leopard's movement. The board said it was in contact with the university, wildlife teams had been put on alert, and a special committee had been formed to oversee the situation.
