Cops rewarded for swift action in murder case

Islamabad: During a dignified ceremony held at the Central Police Office, Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi along with DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq met with the investigation teams, which were instrumental in the prompt arrest of those involved in the murder of businessman Aamir Awan, a police spokesman said.

The IGP praised the professional competence, effective investigation, and tireless efforts of the officers and personnel, and presented them with appreciation certificates and rewards. He stated that every officer of Islamabad Police is continuously striving to protect the lives and property of citizens. Professional excellence, transparency, and a public-friendly attitude are among the top priorities of the police department.

He added that officers and personnel who demonstrate outstanding performance in crime prevention, public service, timely action, and effective investigation are a source of pride for the police department.

Encouraging such officers not only enhances individual performance but also boosts the morale of the entire organization. The IGP said that Islamabad Police is committed to promoting modern policing practices, strengthening public relations, and implementing effective strategies to curb crime.

At the end, all officers and personnel thanked the IGP and reaffirmed their commitment to continue serving and protecting citizens with the same dedication and professionalism in the future.

Later, IGP along with DIG held an important meeting with SSPs and zonal SPs and reviewed ongoing measures related to crime control, effective investigation, arrest of proclaimed offenders, and prosecution of important cases.
