HYDERABAD: Sindh Jamaat-e-Islami emir Kashif Saeed Sheikh has demanded a powerful and resourceful local government system across Sindh from Karachi to Kashmore, stating that the government oppression and the feudal system have kept the people of Sindh hostage.
Addressing an iftar dinner hosted in honour of journalists by the JI Sindh at Markaz Tableegh-e-Islam in Hyderabad, he said that Sindh is rich in resources, but due to government’s incompetence, corruption, and concentration of powers, people are suffering from poverty and deprivation.
Sheikh added that citizens are deprived of basic facilities such as health and education, while infrastructure across the province, including Hyderabad, is in ruins.
