LAHORE : Former President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), M Ali Mian welcomed the establishment of the Punjab Economic Transformation Committee by CM Maryam Nawaz, describing it as an important initiative aimed at strengthening the province’s economic structure and accelerating industrial development.
In a statement issued here, he emphasised that the real impact of the committee would be realised only if experienced representatives from the private sector, particularly industrialists and exporters, were included in the decision-making process.
According to him, the Punjab Economic Transformation Committee has the potential to become an effective platform for shaping such a strategy.
He stated that meaningful participation of seasoned industrialists would enable the committee to better understand the practical challenges faced by the business community and design policies that are aligned with economic realities.
