SDC win Falcon Ramadan title

KARACHI: Shaheed Danial Club Bahria Town displayed an outstanding performance to defeat Moni Sports Shah Faisal Colony by nine wickets in the final of the Falcon Ramadan Tape Ball Cricket Tournament played at Falcon Complex Malir.

Batting first in the final, Moni Sports scored 132 runs for the loss of three wickets in the allotted overs. Asad Shah played a responsible innings of 40 runs while other batters also contributed to the total.

In reply, Shaheed Danial Club’s batters adopted an aggressive approach and achieved the target in just 7.2 overs for the loss of two wickets. Team owners Sheikh Sajid Karim and Ahmed Chohan expressed their happiness over the victory and said that the success was the result of the players’ hard work and excellent team spirit. The chief guests at the prize distribution ceremony included former Pakistan cricket team captain Younis Khan, Rashid Latif, former Test cricketer Tausif Ahmed and fast bowler Mohammad Sami. The guests distributed prizes among the players and appreciated the successful organization of the tournament.

Younis Khan said that Shaheed Danial Cricket Club displayed excellent cricket and performed brilliantly in bowling, batting and fielding. He also congratulated the winning team on their impressive victory.
