ISLAMABAD: Uzma Khan, the sister of the founder of PTI, has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court, requesting that he be transferred to a hospital for medical treatment and granted access during his care. It further demands immediate and timely information regarding his health be provided.

The petition also calls for arrangements to be made for the founder to undergo medical examination by doctors of his choice. Specifically, it requests that Dr. Khurram Mirza, Dr. Asim Yousaf, Dr. Faisal Sultan, and Dr. Samina Niazi be included in the medical team. Additionally, the petition asks for blood tests to be conducted on the founder of PTI and for him to be shifted to Shifa International Hospital for treatment. It further requested that doctors, family members, and lawyers be granted continuous access to the founder of PTI during his detention and treatment. It also sought complete medical reports, including blood tests, eye tests, and diagnostic reports from the last three months, to be provided.

Meanwhile, the Islamabad High Court has issued a notice to the District Election Commissioner of Islamabad regarding the request to shift the founder of PTI to Shifa International Hospital for treatment and has asked for a response. The court also sought a report from the Superintendent of Adiala Jail to clarify how much of the sentence the founder of PTI has served in the Tosha Khana criminal case.

A division bench, comprising Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir and Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro, issued a written order for the hearing. The order stated that three objections raised by the founder of PTI’s application were dismissed, while two were upheld. Notices have been issued to the Additional Attorney General and Advocate General on the two objections. The Registrar’s Office is tasked with numbering the miscellaneous application and assigning it to the main appeal. The Registrar’s Office is also required to prepare a paper book of the appeals before the next hearing, scheduled for March 10.
