Islamabad:The Alkhidmat Foundation hosted an Iftar Dinner for the Palestinian students, who are admitted in various educational institutions and universities in the country.
The Palestinian students were admitted in universities under the 'Alkhidmat Scholarship' to continue their academic careers which was disrupted follow Israeli aggression in Gaza. AFP President Dr. Hafeezur Rehman, Foundation's Secretary General Syed Waqas Jafery and others welcomed students at the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that the foundation so far had arranged dispatching 6,214 tons of relief goods which also included medicines for oppressed people of Gaza.
"So far we have spent Rs9.45 billion to help out our Palestinian brothers, sisters and children,” he said. He said that the foundation has arranged scholarships for 449 Palestinian students (including both medical and non-medical students) to continue their academic career in Pakistan and other countries.
