Rawalpindi:Emergency Service Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi has released statistics on accidents and emergency incidents that occurred during the month of February 2026.
According to the Media Coordinator Rescue Rawalpindi, a total of 5,666 emergency calls were received on the helpline in the month of February, on which timely rescue action was taken and rescue services were provided to the citizens.
According to the released statistics, the 5,666 accidents and emergency incidents include 1,186 road traffic accidents, 141 fire incidents, 111 crime incidents, 7 gas/cylinder leakage, 262 falls from heights and 547 other incidents of various nature.
During the same period, 3,409 patients were shifted to nearby hospitals after providing first aid, while a total of 5,405 victims were provided timely rescue services. Regarding road traffic accidents, it has been reported that a total of 1,356 people were affected in 1,186 accidents, of which 20 people died, 601 were seriously injured and 735 were slightly injured.
The victims include 1,140 males and 216 females, while most of the affected people are between the ages of 11 and 40. 14 people were injured in 141 fire incidents. Rescue firefighters took timely actions with professional skills and managed to control the fire and saved property worth about Rs 276 million from possible damage.
