QUETTA: The government of Balochistan has imposed Section 144 across the province for a period of one month.

According to a notification issued by the provincial Home Department, a complete ban has been placed on the display and use of weapons, pillion riding on motorcycles, use of vehicles with tinted windows, operation of unregistered vehicles, and public gatherings of five or more persons.

In addition, covering of faces in public places — including the use of masks, mufflers, or any other means that may hinder identification — has also been prohibited. The Home Department stated that Section 144 will remain in effect throughout the province for one month.
