LAHORE:Politicians across the divide have strongly condemned the martyrdom of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and other noted figures as a result of US-Israel strikes. The politicians called for unity in the ranks of Muslim Ummah and all out measures to prevent further chaos in the region.
Minister for Information and Culture Punjab Azma Bokhari has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the recent attack on Iran and the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei. She stated that the incident is deeply concerning not only for Iran but also for peace and stability across the entire region. Pakistan People’s Party leader Syed Ali Haider Gilani said after the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, every Pakistani is grieved. The enemy seeks to exploit this grief and anger to spread instability in Pakistan. Gilani said Pakistan has remained a friend and strong supporter of Iran and despite all conspiracies at this time, Pakistan stands like a fortified wall alongside its brotherly country Iran. Former State Minister and Central Secretary Information Syed Sumsam Ali Bokhari called for restoration peace in the region. He said this conflict should immediately come to end otherwise it could open a floodgate of destruction.
Moreover, Syed Sumsam Bokhari also demanded Iran not to target Muslim states and keep its focus towards Israel. Punjab Minister for Irrigation Kazim Pirzada condemned Israeli brutality against Iran and killings of its Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Former Opposition leader in Sindh Assembly and now sitting MNA of PPP Shaharyar Mahar while talking to The News said that killing of Iranian Supreme leader Ali Khamenei and other notables was highly condemnable.
