ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court will take up next week a case concerning the termination of the right of defence in a Rs10 billion defamation suit pending before a Lahore trial court against the former chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan.
A three-member bench comprising Justice Ayesha Malik, Justice Hashim Kakar and Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim will hear on March 6 the review petition filed by the PTI founder against the Supreme Court’s decision upholding the termination of his right of defence.
At the previous hearing, the court had stayed the trial proceedings and issued a notice to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
