ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Saturday strongly condemned the US-Israel’s unlawful and unprovoked attack against the Islamic Republic of Iran and expressed grave concern over the unequivocal backing provided by the United States.
In a statement issued by PTI Central Media Department, the party maintained that such reckless actions constitute a blatant violation of the international law and the sovereignty of a regional state, further destabilizing an already volatile Middle East.
It said that an escalating cycle of retaliation risks pushing the entire region toward a wider and more devastating conflict. It urged all parties to exercise maximum restraint and immediately pursue diplomatic engagement to deescalate tensions on all fronts.
“The people of the Middle East have suffered enough from prolonged wars, foreign interventions, and geopolitical rivalries,” it emphasized and underlined the need that Pakistan must adopt a principled foreign policy rooted in peace, regional stability, respect for sovereignty, and adherence to international law.
