LAHORE : The body of an 18-year-old youth was found hanging inside a house in the Harbanspura area, police said.
According to details, the deceased, identified as Kashif Khalid, a resident of Sukh Nehr in Harbanspura, was found hanging at his home. Upon receiving information, police reached the scene, collected evidence, and shifted the body to a hospital for postmortem examination.
Police said investigations have been initiated, examining all aspects including possible suicide and murder. Authorities stated that all angles are being considered and the exact cause has not yet been determined. Statements of family members are being recorded and further legal proceedings are under way, police added.
Suspect involved in online fraud arrested
Johar Town Police have arrested a suspect allegedly involved in online fraud through the EasyPaisa application.
According to a police spokesperson, the suspect was traced and taken into custody using modern technology. Police said that two months ago, the suspect allegedly called a physically disabled citizen while posing as a company employee. He reportedly obtained the citizen’s confidential account code on a pretext and withdrew Rs50,000 from the account. The arrested suspect has been identified as Tariq Mahmood. Police stated that the suspect had allegedly defrauded citizens of hundreds of thousands of rupees. Further investigation is underway.
