LAHORE : Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana presided over a video-link meeting to review the prevailing security situation and assess arrangements across the provincial capital.
Addressing senior officers, the CCPO directed all police officials to remain vigilant and adopt a proactive strategy to effectively respond to any untoward incident. He ordered that security at all important and sensitive locations be placed on high alert and that strict checking be ensured at the city’s entry and exit points, including checkpoints and pickets.
The CCPO further instructed that effective combing and search operations against criminal elements continue in order to further tighten the noose around offenders. He emphasised enhanced security measures at Mosques, Imambargahs, Ramazan bazaars and markets during Sehr, Iftar and Taraweeh timings.
The CCPO also directed supervisory officers to personally visit the field to review security arrangements at sensitive sites and ordered an increase in patrolling to ensure the protection of key installations.
