LAHORE : An educational meeting on Saturday has announced important decisions related to educational matters, summer-winter holidays, curriculum and environmental activities.
According to the announcement, the summer holidays will be from June 1 to July 31, 2026, while the winter holidays have been fixed from December 21 to December 31, 2026. It has been decided to celebrate the academic year 2026 as the year of environmental awareness. It has been directed to conduct a tree plantation campaign in all educational institutions and encourage every student and teacher to plant a tree. The matter of reconstitution of the steering committee has been referred to the sub-committee.
The implementation of the new uniform curriculum for grades 9 and 10 will start from the academic year 2027. It has also been decided to organize school-level competitions in August every year under the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) program) program.
