IGP distributes cheques among fallen cops’ families

KHAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police (IGP) Zulfiqar Hameed visited Bajaur and met the families of police personnel martyred in militant attack, offering condolences and financial assistance to them.

Additional IG Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Regional Police Officer Malakand Fida Hassan and other senior officials accompanied the IGP.They offered fateha for the departed souls of the martyred personnel and prayed for their elevated ranks. They paid rich tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs for the country and the nation.

Later, the IGP laid floral wreaths at the Martyrs’ Memorial and offered collective prayers for the fallen officers.He met the families of the martyrs at the DC Compound, consoled them, and handed over financial assistance cheques. The IGP also met police personnel on duty and boosted their morale.

Speaking to the police officers, the IGP said the history of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and its people was filled with the immortal sacrifices of martyrs.He added that encouraging the officers injured in the tragic incident, ensuring their morale, and providing them with the best possible medical treatment is the responsibility of the department.
