RAWALPINDI: Security sources have described the recent attacks on law enforcement agencies (LEAs) as an “open declaration of war” against Pakistan by the Afghan regime, stating that the acts will be met with full national resolve and unity.

According to the sources, recent incidents of terrorism — including the attack on a convoy of the Frontier Constabulary (FC), in which FC personnel were burned and martyred, the martyrdom of DSP Asad Mehmood in Shakardara (Kohat), and a suicide attack in Bhakkar — amount to an open declaration of war against Pakistan by the Afghan regime.

The sources stated that suicide attacks originating from Afghanistan during the holy month of Ramazan demonstrate that these terrorists have no connection with Islam or Pakhtun traditions and show complete disregard for innocent human lives in pursuit of what they described as a condemned and self-fabricated ideology.

They further claimed that instead of addressing Pakistan’s consistent demand to stop the alleged patronage of “Fitna Al Khawarij,” the Afghan regime’s actions amount to naked aggression and a challenge to Pakistan’s integrity and sovereignty. The sources maintained that Pakistan’s security forces remain fully focused and united to respond to any act that threatens national security. “This war against the state of Pakistan and its people demands that everyone, above political affiliations, unite to fight terrorism being unleashed under the patronage of Afghanistan and India,” the sources said.

They emphasized that national security, dignity, and the protection of human lives stand above individual or collective interests, and reiterated the commitment to eliminate militants described as enemies of humanity and Islam.

The sources also noted that security forces and LEAs are sacrificing their lives on both internal and external fronts, and that their sacrifices are acknowledged and appreciated by the nation.

“The Pakistani nation and security institutions, through mutual unity and national resolve, will defeat these handful of terrorists, God willing,” the sources concluded.
