KARACHI: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited reported consolidated revenue of Rs120 billion for the year ended December 31, 2025, up 12 per cent from a year earlier.
Despite higher revenue and operating profit, the group posted a net loss of Rs9.7 billion, mainly due to higher provisioning at its microfinance subsidiary following regulatory changes.On a standalone basis, PTCL recorded a profit after tax of Rs1.4 billion, compared with a loss last year, even after booking an additional pension liability of Rs6.9 billion. Operating profit for the company rose 49 per cent year-on-year (YoY) to Rs18.2 billion.
Its mobile arm, Ufone, reported 14 per cent growth in revenue, while operating profit surged 283 per cent. The net loss at Ufone narrowed by 89 per cent compared with the previous year.During the year, PTCL completed the acquisition of Telenor Pakistan on December 31, 2025. The acquired entity’s financial results will be consolidated from January 1, 2026.The company’s performance was supported by growth in broadband, business solutions, wholesale and mobile services, according to its financial statement.
