Gold rates rise Rs3,400 per tola

KARACHI: Gold prices rose by Rs3,400 per tola in the local market on Tuesday, tracking gains in the international bullion market.According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-carat gold increased to Rs539,962 per tola.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold went up by Rs2,915 to Rs462,930. In the international market, gold prices gained $34 to reach $5,172 per ounce.Bullion dealers said gold prices in Pakistan are typically adjusted with a premium of around $20 per ounce over international rates, reflecting exchange rate movements, import costs and domestic market conditions.Silver prices increased by Rs192 to Rs9,286 per tola, while the price of 10-gram silver rose by Rs165 to Rs7,961.
