On the instructions of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, the e-office system was implemented for the first time in the province at the CM House on Monday.
Officials said all correspondence of the principal secretary, additional secretary, section officers and other high officials would be under the e-digital system. Moreover, high-level correspondence will also be completely done through the e-office platform and the paperless system has been made mandatory in official correspondence. It has also been decided to completely stop work in physical files, as per a circular of the CM House.
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah directed all offices to immediately start work on the e-office system. Moreover, the scanning and uploading of necessary and active files has been made mandatory.
He also directed that phase-wise digitisation of remaining records of the Chief Minister Secretariat be completed in a month. The IT section will provide training and tutorials. It was also directed to report issues faced during implementation to the IT section immediately.
Shah vowed to improve transparency and efficiency through digital file management and said the digital correspondence will significantly improve transparency, speed and record management.
Meanwhile, CM Shah paid tribute to security forces for their successful operation. He said the entire nation is united against anti-national elements, and Pakistan’s soil does not accept terrorism.
He added that we will make life difficult for the enemies of peace. The nation will never forget the sacrifices of security agencies and the operations will continue until the complete elimination of terrorism, he said.
