ISLAMABAD: Several appointments and transfers have been made in the federal bureaucracy, according to official notifications issued by the Establishment Division.
Tahir Mahmood Qureshi, a Grade-20 officer of the Secretariat Group serving as Joint Secretary in the Cabinet Division, is set to retire on June 24, 2026. Officer of the Office Management Group (OMG) Amina Shuja, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as Section Officer to the Cabinet Division. Rizwan Ahmed Sheikh, a Grade-21 Secretariat Group officer, currently serving as Officer on Special Duty (OSD), has proceeded on leave from February 25 to March 8 for a foreign visit.
Dr Ghazal Afzal, a woman medical officer in the Sindh Health Department, has been transferred and posted as medical officer at WAPDA Hospital, Rawalpindi. Chief Postmaster of Karachi’s Saddar General Post Office, Ali Afzal, has been placed at the disposal of the Sindh government. Muhammad Sabir, Assistant Audit Officer at the Military Accounts Training Institute, CMA Complex, Lahore, has been transferred and appointed as Assistant Director (Accounts) at the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), Islamabad.
Assistant Director Muhammad Ibrahim from the Directorate of Electronic Media and Publications, Islamabad, has been posted as District Manager in the Public Primary Health Initiative (PPHI) Sindh. Additionally, the deputation tenure of Assistant Professor Jahan Ara of the Federal Directorate of Education (Cantt/Garrison) has been extended for a further two years. The Establishment Division has formally issued notifications for all the above appointments and transfers.
