An anti-terrorism court (ATC) has remanded three suspects, said to be facilitators of Fitna al-Hindustan, in the custody of the Counter-Terrorism Department until February 21 in an explosives case.
The suspects, identified as Yasar Arafat, Khuda Bakhsh and Zahid Hussain, alias Barkzai, were arrested during a joint intelligence-based operation of the Sindh Rangers and CTD in Chakra Goth in Korangi.
The investigating officer produced the suspects before the administrative judge of the ATCs to seek their physical remand for interrogation. He stated that explosive material, including five kilos of explosives, 10 metres of detonating cord, three detonators, a kilogram of ball bearings, as well as 250 copies of extremist literature and a laptop was seized from the suspects.
