The weather took a pleasant turn in Karachi as different parts of the city received a fresh spell of rain accompanied by strong winds on Tuesday.
Areas that witnessed moderate to light rain included Gulistan-e-Johar, Scheme 33, North Nazimabad, Orangi Town, SITE Area and Buffer Zone. Reports of hail pouring with rain were received from Scheme 33 and surrounding areas. In the wake of rain and strong winds, K-Electric advised citizens to practice caution while using electricity.
According to a weather update, Jinnah Terminal recorded the maximum rain of 20.8 millimetres, followed the old airport areas with 12mm of rain, Nazimabad 8.5mm, Saadi Town 6.9mm, University Road 5.8, Orangi Town 5.4mm,North Karachi 2.3mm, Bahria Town 2mm, and Surjani Town 1mm of rain. Elsewhere in Sindh, Thatta received 21mm of rain, Rohri 9mm, Khairpur 6mm, Sukkur, Larkana and Jacobabad 2mm and Mohenjodaro 1mm of rain. The fresh spell of rain comes under the effect of a westerly wave approaching western parts of the country.
