The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Anti-Corruption Circle Karachi reclaimed a prime federal property, which was allegedly under illegal occupation, during a joint operation with the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB).
The property bearing No. S.R.5/9, titled ‘Hindu Marwari Dharamshala (Shivrattam G Mohatta)’, was found under illegal occupation on the basis of questionable title documents. The property has been handed over to the ETPB, which has sealed the premises under the Evacuee Trust Properties (Management & Disposal) Act, 1975.
Spanning approximately 1,500 square yards, the property is located on II Chundrigar Road. Its estimated market value stands at around Rs5 billion. However, the final valuation will be determined after a formal assessment by the National Engineering Services Pakistan.
The FIA spokesperson said that this retrieval reflects robust inter-agency coordination between the FIA and the ETPB in efforts aimed at safeguarding and recovering federal government properties from unlawful occupation.
The FIA Karachi Zone director commended the Anti-Corruption Circle Karachi team for its professionalism, effective strategy and successful execution of the operation. He reaffirmed that actions to protect national interests and recover public assets would continue with full determination and without interruption.
