LAHORE : Several fire incidents were reported in different parts of the City prompting response from Rescue 1122 teams.
All fires were later brought under control without any major loss of life, officials said.
According to Rescue 1122, a fire broke out in the basement of a factory in the Nasir Park area of Bilal Ganj. The blaze reportedly erupted in stored cardboard and scrap material. Fire and rescue teams rushed to the scene and managed to contain the fire, preventing it from spreading further. The operation was later declared complete.
In a separate incident in Badami Bagh area, a fire erupted in a room of a private bank branch. Rescue officials said firefighters responded and extinguished the blaze. No casualties were reported in the incident.
Meanwhile, in Shad Bagh, a house caught fire due to a gas cylinder leakage. Two people sustained minor injuries in the incident and were provided first aid by rescue personnel. The fire was brought under control in time, averting further damage.
Later in the evening, another fire was reported in a room of a house in the Cavalry Ground area. Rescue teams reached the site and initiated firefighting operations.
Rescue 1122 officials confirmed that all fires had been controlled and operations concluded.
