LAHORE : A meeting of the Peace Committee was held under the chairpersonship of Commissioner Lahore Division Marryam Khan to review the arrangements for Ramazan Bazaar, Ramazan Dastarkhwan, municipal and security arrangements before the arrival of Ramazan. The meeting was attended by Ulema-e-Karaam, Peace Committee members and District Administrative Departments.
Commissioner Lahore said that Ramazan is the holiest month of worship for the entire Islamic world. Ramazan bazaars and Ramazan tables are being set up in every tehsil of all districts. The administration will have a strong liaison with the peace committee members.
She said that on the instructions of the CM Punjab, municipal and security arrangements are being ensured for Ramazan. The CM Punjab has issued instructions for special cleaning in mosques, Imam bargahs and surrounding areas.
On this occasion, DIG Operations Lahore Faisal Kamran said that there will be security duty in mosques and Imambargahs during special hours. Safe City has been contacted for security monitoring of big mosques and Imambargahs.
DIG Operations Lahore said that security arrangements have been finalized on the occasion of Shahadat Ali Day on 21st Ramazan.
The peace committee members appreciated the efforts of the administration on the government’s instructions. They said that they stand with the administration for peace and unity and no one is allowed to cause sedition and chaos.
The meeting was attended by DIG Operations Dr. Faisal Kamran, DC Lahore Capt Ali Ijaz, SSP Operations Tauqeer Ahmed, while DCs and DPOs of all districts and scholars participated in the meeting via video link.
