LAHORE : Two women were killed and a minor girl injured after a speeding car ran over them in Garden Town.
Near Barkat Market, white Mercedes (registration BLX-063) hit the women while they were crossing a road. As a result, Maida, daughter of Irfan Ali, and Sonia, daughter of Yousaf, aged between 20 and 22 years, died on the spot, while 10-year-old Maryam Khan was seriously injured. Rescue 1122 shifted the injured girl to hospital for medical treatment.
Police arrested the car occupants, Atiq Shehbaz (21) and Abdullah Shehbaz (19), and initiated legal proceedings.
