JI delegation visits Iranian Consulate; extends condolences

LAHORE: Jamaat-i-Islami Lahore Emir Zia-ud-Din Ansari Advocate visited the Iranian Consulate along with a delegation and held a meeting with the Consul General of Iran Mehran Mowakhedfar on Wednesday.

The JI delegation expressed profound grief over the martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and conveyed condolences and solidarity to the government and people of Iran. He also recorded his remarks in the condolence book and paid tribute to the services of the martyred leader.

Speaking on the occasion, Zia-ud-Din Ansari stated that the martyrdom of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is not only a loss for Iran but for the entire Ummah. He condemned the aggressive actions by the United States and Israel against Iran, describing them as a threat to global peace.

He urged the Pakistani leadership to adopt a clear and unequivocal stance in support of Iran. He also offered special prayers for the security, stability, and success of Iran.The delegation included JI Secretary General Lahore Azhar Bilal, Deputy Emirs Engineer Akhlaq Ahmad, Khalid Ahmad Butt, Malik Shahid Aslam, Deputy Secretary Rashid Daud, President Public Aid Committee Qaiser Sharif, and President JI Youth Lahore Jibran Butt.
