NOWSHERA: Prime Minister’s Coordinator on Information Ikhtiar Wali on Saturday claimed that Imran Khan has been seeking NRO since November 2024 but the federal government rejected any such agreement.
Talking to reporters here, Ikhtiar Wali stated that the PTI founder had agreed to a deal on November 25, 2024, but it never materialised.
Commenting on PTI leadership movements, Ikhtiar Wali claimed that the party founder intended to travel to Bani Gala, Nathiagali, or abroad. He identified Barrister Saif and Barrister Gohar Ali Khan as witnesses to the 2024 deal, from whom clarifications can be sought.
The PMLN leader said that PTI’s road blockades have caused severe inconvenience to citizens. He warned that the federal government was taking all possible measures to ease public difficulties and had given PTI a final deadline to reopen all blocked roads.
“If the roads remain closed, citizens may be called upon to reopen them themselves,” he said, warning that this could lead to confrontation between the public and PTI, which the government wants to avoid.
Ikhtiar Wali added that the federal government was providing all necessary medical facilities for the PTI founder. “And if the party leaders wish to send him abroad for treatment, they may submit a formal request,” he added.
