PESHAWAR: A rally staged in historic Qissa Khwani Bazaar here on Friday called for effective steps to stamp out terrorism.

The Imamia Jirga Khyber Pakhtunkhwa held the rally to condemn the recent suicide attack Islamabad that had claimed several precious lives.

Led by the jirga’s Secretary General of the jirga Sardar Aqeel Hussain Zaidi, the rally was brought out from nearby Jamia Masjid in Koocha Risaldar.

The participants carried banners and placards condemning the suicide attack at Masjid Khadijat-ul-Kubra in Tarlai Kalaan area and demanding an end to terrorism. It passed through Qissa Khwani Bazaar and culminated at Chowk Shaheedasn (Martyrs Memorials), where it turned into a public gathering.
