QUETTA : Director General Balochistan Levies Force Abdul Ghaffar Maksi has dismissed 34 personnel with immediate effect over charges of wilful absenteeism, unprofessional conduct and defiance of lawful orders issued by the competent authority.
According to official sources, the dismissed officials previously belonged to various wings of the Levies Force, which have now been merged into Balochistan Police. The personnel were posted in multiple districts, including Khuzdar, Ziarat, Surab, Sherani, Noshki, Chagai, Lasbela, Kachhi, Kalat, Washuk, Kharan, Pishin and Mastung.
Sources said prolonged absence from duty and negligence had created administrative difficulties, prompting the authorities to take strict action. A notification issued in this regard stated that all salaries and allowances of the dismissed personnel have been stopped with immediate effect, and departments concerned have been directed to ensure prompt implementation of the orders. The Balochistan Home Department, Accountant General Balochistan, relevant deputy commissioners and other institutions have also been informed.
DG Levies Abdul Ghaffar Maksi said former Levies personnel integrated into the police force are expected to demonstrate full responsibility and maintain professional standards in their new assignments.
