HYDERABAD: The Sindh government’s Department of Culture organised a Mach Kacheri at the Sindh Museum in Hyderabad, which was attended by a large number of people associated with literature, music, and Sindhi culture.
Minister for Culture Syed Zulfiqar Shah was the chief guest on the occasion, while Mayor Hyderabad Kashif Shoro and Special Assistant for the Archives Department Sarfraz Rajar were also present.
During the Mach Kacheri, performances of folk music, poetry, and storytelling were presented. Renowned Sugharr Jaman Bhatti, along with his companions, narrated riddles and presented folk bait.
Prominent folk singers including Saif Samejo, Faqir Zawar, Amanat Faqir, and others performed their songs, which were highly appreciated by the audience.
Minister for Culture Syed Zulfiqar Shah said that for the first time a train safari to Mohenjo Daro has been launched, in which travellers from different cities are participating. He said that although the train had been operating earlier as well, this time a significant number of travelers reached Larkana via Sehwan Sharif.
