KMU academic council approves policy reforms

PESHAWAR: The 34th meeting of the academic council of Khyber Medical University (KMU) made key decisions to strengthen academic policies and enhance educational programmes.

The council approved the minutes of the 33rd academic council meeting and endorsed multiple strategic measures aimed at improving academic standards and student facilitation.During the session, the minutes of the 44th and 45th equivalence committee meetings, along with five meetings of the Relevance Assessment Committee, were approved.

In response to challenges faced by students regarding migration between KMU, other universities, and private institutions, the existing Migration Policy was revised to address student concerns more effectively.

The council approved two ethics courses for non-Muslim students as an alternative to the Fehm-ul-Quran course.In line with Higher Education Commission (HEC) policy requirements, the degree duration for more than 160 undergraduate and postgraduate students was extended.
