54 properties sealed over non-payment

LAHORE:On the instructions of the LDA DG, the LDA teams sealed 54 properties in various schemes and LDA controlled areas.

LDA teams conducted operations in New Muslim Town, Canal Road, Gulberg, Model Town Extension Scheme and Azam Garden. Around 25 properties were sealed in New Muslim Town, Canal Road, Gulberg, Model Town Extension Scheme for illegal commercial use, non-payment of commercial fees.

The teams sealed 10 properties in Azam Garden.The properties sealed included private schools, clinics, beauty salons, restaurants, food points, grocery stores, shops and offices.Meanwhile, to review the ongoing development works, LDA DG Tahir Farooq visited various areas, including Salman Park, Nishtar Town and Atta Bakhsh Road here Thursday.

Authority’s Chief Engineer Asrar Saeed and Project Director gave a briefing. The streets and neighborhoods of Salman Park Nishtar Town were being completely upgraded, tuff tiles and pavers have been installed.

Storm water drainage, repair and maintenance and uniform development were being done in Salman Park. Gosha-e-Mazdoor has been made for the workers to sit on Ferozepur Road, Nishtar Town.

The construction and sustainable development of Atta Bakhsh Road has improved the beauty of the area and traffic flow. The road expansion and asphalting on Ata Bakhsh Road have been completed, and PCC was being done on one side. The crossing bridge over the drain and the facade of the properties on Ata Bakhsh Road were being improved.

Tahir Farooq reviewed the finishing works on Ata Bakhsh Road.Speaking on the occasion, DG Tahir Farooq said that Salman Park was being developed as a model community in Nishtar Town. DG directed to improve the facade of the properties and ensure 100 percent quality of work.
