RAWALPINDI: Security forces have eliminated four Indian-sponsored terrorists during an Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) carried out in Kalat district of Balochistan, officials confirmed on Monday.
On January 12, security forces conducted the IBO in Kalat district following credible intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists affiliated with the Indian proxy group Fitna al Hindustan operating in the area.
During the course of the operation, security personnel effectively engaged the terrorists’ hideout. After an intense and prolonged exchange of fire, four Indian-sponsored terrorists were neutralised and sent to hell.
A cache of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the terrorists, who had remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities across the area and posed a serious threat to peace and security.
Following the successful operation, sanitisation operations are being carried out in the surrounding areas to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored terrorist who may still be present.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in a statement, said that the relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue with full force. The security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan remain fully committed to wiping out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
