ISLAMABAD. Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Tahir Abbas Supra has initiated proceedings to declare the accused continuously absent as proclaimed offenders in the November 26 protest case against Azam Swati and PTI workers.

Azam appeared in court along with his lawyer Murtaza Turi. He said the court should order the police to provide a list of police personnel on duty at that time. The judge said he was not an investigation officer and could not give any direction. “The investigation has been completed to your extent and a challan has been issued. If you want further investigation, you can request the police. The purpose of the investigation is to find the truth and not just collect evidence against the accused.” The court initiated proceedings to declare the accused proclaimed offenders and adjourned the hearing till February 13.
