LAHORE: Former prime minister and President of Pakistan Peoples Party (Central Punjab) Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has demanded that the elements behind the issuance of ordinances without the signature of the President must be exposed, urging the National Assembly speaker and federal law minister to take immediate notice of the situation.
In a statement issued on Monday, Ashraf said such behaviour was tantamount to causing a rift in the government alliance. “The PPP parliamentary party will decide whether to participate in the assembly session or not after considering the situation,” he said, adding the PPP will firmly oppose every conspiracy against the parliament.
