JAMRUD: Four youths were killed and one sustained critical injuries when a car rammed into a truck in Jamrud Bazaar of Khyber district in the wee hours of Sunday.
Police officials said the accident occurred around 2:00am when the victims were returning to Jamrud after taking their groom friend to a salon in Peshawar.“The car collided head-on with a truck near Jamrud Bazaar. As a result, four friends including Zarar Khan, Dawood Khan, Mansoor Khan and Sohail Khan, died on the spot, while their fifth companion, Noman Khan, was seriously injured and shifted to hospital,” said an official.
Three of the deceased belonged to the same family. The police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.Meanwhile, the funeral prayers of the four young men were offered at Jamrud Teddy Bazaar Ground, which was attended by hundreds of grieving relatives, friends and local residents.
