KHAR: A constable of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) was martyred after unidentified assailants opened fire on him in Maina area of Mamond tehsil in Bajaur district.
Police sources said that the martyred official was identified as Saifur Rehman, a resident of Maina area. The attackers fled the scene after the incident.
Following the firing, police cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. Raids were conducted at various locations to arrest the suspects. Police said investigations were launched into the incident.
The funeral prayers of the martyred constable will be offered with official honours at the police lines in Bajaur.
