ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), led by President Haroon ur Rashid, has strongly condemned the unwarranted and unprovoked aggression on the western border carried out by Afghan forces in collusion with Fitna al Khwarji and other notorious terrorist outfits at the behest of Fitna al Hindusutan.

The SCBA supported and endorsed the measured, resolute and proportionate response undertaken by our armed forces. According to a statement issued here, the SCBA Executive Committee also condemned the unprovoked and unjustified attack by the United States and Israel on the sovereign state of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which led to the martyrdom of its Supreme Leader, Seyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei (Ayatollah Khamenei).

The committee said that such actions represent a grave violation of the UN Charter, established principles of international law, and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of a sovereign nation.

The SCBA expressed solidarity with the brave people of Iran. Furthermore, it also expressed grave concern over reports of the killing of peaceful protesters in Karachi and injuries to dozens protesting in Islamabad who were demonstrating in the aftermath of the attack on Iran. The committee viewed that the right to peaceful protest is a fundamental democratic principle and must be upheld, and called for an in-depth probe into the incident reported.
