ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq visited the Parliament Lodges Tuesday to review the progress of the under-construction project of 104 additional Family Suites.
Federal Minister of State for Interior Senator Talal Chaudhry accompanied the Speaker and provided a detailed briefing on the ongoing project.
The Speaker was informed that the construction of 104 additional Family Suites has entered its final stages.
The project, which was initially launched in 2011, had remained stalled for a prolonged period and due to the special efforts and personal initiative of Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, the project was revived after years of delay.
Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, emphasised that the early completion of the project is his top priority, stressing that Members of Parliament are facing serious accommodation issues which can only be resolved through the timely completion of this project.
He directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to ensure high construction standards, maintain strict oversight, and accelerate the pace of work. The Speaker further stated that any further delay or negligence would not be tolerated, underlining the importance of completing the project within the stipulated timeframe.
Minister of State for Interior Senator Talal Chaudhry assured that all available resources would be utilised to ensure the project’s early completion. He also appreciated the Speaker’s keen interest and continuous follow-up regarding the construction of the 104 Family Suites.
Acting Secretary National Assembly Saeed Ahmed Maitla, Adviser (Law) National Assembly Muhammad Mushtaq, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Interior and CDA, were also present on the occasion.
