The Sindh cabinet’s finance committee approved funds for several development and non-development schemes during a meeting on Monday.
The meeting was attended by Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Minister for Labour Saeed Ghani, and Minister for Home Affairs Ziaul. The cabinet also granted approval to 25 per cent of the Rs 219 million funds (Annual Development Programme).
The finance committee also approved the holding of the 7th Karachi Literature Festival, an amount of Rs100 million for the Sindh Archives’ outside-budget allocation, and a three-kilometre link road (Bego Kaka) in Taluka Saeedabad, District Matiari. It was said that quality training of officers is essential for public service.
